i. convergence
ii. unused signal
iii. use case
i.

As AI models converge on the same public data, durable value shifts to proprietary datasets.

ii.

Health and activity data from digitized health records and wearables has never been systematically used by insurance incumbents.

iii.

Most AI platforms exist without a commercial use case. Polymath was built around one.

pricing basis:
issuance-era data

cf. fig. 1

Trillions of dollars of life insurance reserves are priced on data collected at policy issuance — often decades old. Continuous health data can change how mortality risk is understood, underwritten, and held.

Fig. 1 — Illustrative. The insurer's view of an insured life: assessed once at issuance, versus continuously observed. Reserves remain held against the original assessment.
03 / Approach
wearable
electronic health record
underwriting outcome

Polymath conducts applied research combining longitudinal wearable data, electronic health records, and life insurance underwriting outcomes — developed and validated in carriers and reinsurers.

This research is moving into production: Polymath's models will be deployed in live underwriting at a US life insurance carrier in 2027.
